Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymphatic drainage massage can be applied to different areas of the body, and the gentle, rhythmic movements are designed to support the natural movement of lymph fluid throughout the system. It isn’t about relieving tension or ache in muscle tissue like a remedial or deep tissue massage.

As the pressure is lighter, you shouldn’t expect the more intense sensations you might experience during remedial treatments. Many clients enjoy the slow, gentle movements and the calming relaxation they bring. Are you new to lymphatic drainage? Review my companion guide to learn more about what to expect.

My approach combines remedial massage with a movement-focused perspective. I don’t just ask where it hurts; I want to understand how you move and what your everyday routine looks like, because that’s often where muscular tension really comes from. Two people can walk in with the same tight shoulders for completely different reasons — one from a desk, one from training — and the right session looks different for each of them.

How Lymphatic Drainage Massage May Help

There are many reasons why people choose lymphatic drainage massage. Whether it’s as a whole-body self-care focus or for stress relief, the most common reasons my clients book a lymphatic drainage massage include:

  • Light, guided movement that supports lymphatic flow.
  • Relief from temporary puffiness or a feeling of heaviness.
  • Stress management for a calmer massage session.
  • As part of a regular wellness routine in conjunction with other self-care habits.

I am always upfront about a treatment’s limits. Massage should not be used in place of medical treatment, and a massage therapist cannot offer a medical diagnosis. If you have a specific medical concern, you should discuss it with your doctor before you book.

What to Expect in Your Session

Many people feel more comfortable in their first session if they have a good idea of what to expect. My first sessions are straightforward.

We Start With a Conversation

First things first, we’ll sit down for a conversation so I can understand your motivation and goals for the treatment. I can address specific areas you want to focus on or provide a full-body treatment. It’s all about personalising each session to suit the client and their individual needs.

The Treatment Itself

The treatment itself is gentle and controlled and is typically focused on selected areas. The exact approach is dependent on your needs and the type of session you want. I don’t use the same routine for every client, so the treatment will depend on what you want from your session. This applies whether you book a lymphatic drainage massage or one of my other massage treatments.

Your Comfort Matters

I want to know how you feel during the session. I encourage communication to deliver the best possible experience.

Why Choose Rays Healing Touch

I have been practising massage for almost 20 years and have training that spans lymphatic drainage, remedial, relaxation, sports, deep tissue, and pregnancy massage.

Qualifications are important, but being listened to and heard is key. I don’t use the same routine for every client. I listen, I learn, and I put it into action to tailor the session to you. I operate a small, personal practice from my Castle Hill home on an appointment-only basis.

Lymphatic Drainage Pricing

Simple, transparent pricing — the same rates apply across my massage services:

$105

for 45 mins

$140

for 60 mins

$210

for 90 mins

Not sure which length suits you? A 45-minute session works well for a focused area, while 60 or 90 minutes gives us room to work more thoroughly or cover more of the body. We can talk it through when you book.
